This Privacy Policy explains what "Router Page Setup" ("the App") does with your information. The App has no account system and no developer-operated servers: it connects only to your own router, and to the websites you choose to open from it. By installing or using the App you agree to the practices described below.
We collect no personal or sensitive user data. Nothing you do in the App — the pages you open, the Wi-Fi networks you join, the files you download from your router — is ever transmitted to us. We have no way to see your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, advertising ID, or any other identifier, because we never receive them.
The App has no sign-up and no login, so there is no account for us to link any information to, and no developer-operated server that could receive it.
Some data is written to the App's private storage on your device, and never leaves it:
You can erase your browsing data at any time without uninstalling: use "Cookie Clean" in the Router tab menu to remove cookies, cached pages, the saved router login and page history. The download approvals are removed by clearing the App's data from Android Settings, or by uninstalling the App. The App's data is excluded from Android cloud backup, so it is never uploaded to your Google account.
The App requests only the permissions its features need:
The App does not request or use Location, and it does not read your Wi-Fi network's name (SSID) or your router's MAC address — Android releases those only to apps that hold location access, so the App leaves them alone. The Wi-Fi tab shows the connection state plus the radio and addressing details that need no permission: signal strength, link speed, band, channel, IP address, subnet, gateway and DHCP lease.
Talking to devices on your own local network is the core of what this App does, and it never leaves that network unless you ask it to.
When the App opens it looks for the gateway address of the network you are on and loads your router's admin page; if that address does not answer, it tries other common gateway addresses on the same subnet. It also reads Wi-Fi details and shows them to you: signal strength, link speed, band, channel, the IP address, subnet and gateway your device was given, the DHCP server and lease, and whether the connection is metered or has internet access. The Signal tab samples the signal once a second while the App is open, draws those readings as a rolling graph with minimum, average and maximum values, and estimates how far you are from the router from the signal strength alone. All of it is displayed on your device only and is never sent to us, and the samples are kept in memory only — they are gone when the App closes.
The App does not read the network's name, the router's MAC address or your device's Wi-Fi MAC address. Discovery is limited to addresses on the subnet your device is already joined to. The App does not scan other networks or the internet, and it does not build a picture of your home network.
The Ping Test feature, which only runs when you start it from the Settings tab, sends standard ping requests to the hosts you choose — by default public DNS resolvers such as 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 — to measure latency. Those hosts see the connection from your device under their own privacy policies.
We do not run analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting services, and we cannot see how you use the App. The App contains no advertising or analytics SDK, shows no ads, and performs no behavioural targeting. No advertising identifier is read or stored.
The App loads pages from sites that you and your router's web interface control, including router admin panels, which are not operated by us. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices, so please review their own policies.
The App includes one Google-provided component: the Play in-app update library, which asks Google Play whether a newer version of the App is available and lets Google Play carry out the update. That check is handled by Google Play on your device, and it concerns the App and your device only — the App sends Google nothing about you, your router or the pages you browse. Google's handling of that check is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
If you use "Open in Browser", the page is handed to your default browser, and from that point on that browser's own privacy policy applies instead of this one.
Because no information about you is collected or transmitted to us, we hold no user data and have nothing to secure on our side. There is no developer-operated server anywhere in the App's design.
Anything you type into the pages you open — including your router's username and password — is sent by Android's WebView straight to that site over the connection the site itself uses. It is handled by that site alone and is never read, logged or stored by the App. A saved router login is kept in Android's WebView credential store on your device, and is deleted by "Cookie Clean".
Files you download from your router are written straight to your device and are never uploaded anywhere by us. Router admin pages usually present a self-signed certificate; for local-network addresses the App pins that certificate (trust on first use) and refuses any different certificate afterwards, while everything outside the local network keeps the standard Android certificate validation. Installable app packages such as .apk files are never downloaded. If you restore a router backup you have selected yourself, it is handed to the page you chose and handled there.
The App is a network utility for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — and because we collect nothing from anyone at all, we hold no information about children. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we will help.
Everything the App stores stays under your control:
We hold no server-side information, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. If you contact us asking us to delete your information, we will confirm that we never received it in the first place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. A change takes effect when the updated version of the App is published on Google Play, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page is revised at the same time. Significant changes are listed in the release notes of that version.
